After decades of teaching, I am — to my surprise — writing children’s books. I’ve come to understand that writing books is not the end game. Getting published is not the end game. What matters is sharing my books with young readers and their reading partners. I am eager to read my books and have conversations with young readers! Seems to be true — once a teacher, always a teacher.
