The Excitement of NEW!
I've been thinking...
…about the excitement of NEW!
We have a new baby in our family! Our sixth grandchild. His mama calls him the "caboose." We are thrilled to have Mac join the cousin crew! Though it will be a bit of time before he's romping with the kids!
Babies are such a blessing. "God's opinion that life should go on," thank you Carl Sandburg. He added, "Never will a time come when the most marvelous recent invention is as marvelous as a newborn baby."
Amen to that!
Also NEW on my mind are the grandparent books that are in production! Jo Ann is working her magic with some terrific photographs taken by the talented Sally Gupton.
As we enter into the Advent season - always a time of great excitement in preparing for Christmas - I am thinking about, like so many, how grateful we are to be rounding the corner into a more normal world. Children can enjoy plays and lighting pageants. We are planning parties and family dinners! What joy!
New baby! New books! Christmas with the renewed promise of God's love. A new year is coming.
