Spring!
I’ve been thinking about….
SPRING!
This really is a magical season! After a very hard winter everywhere – it even snowed in Houston! – the world is coming back to life. Beautiful blooms on trees and flowers in the yards are the evidence that SPRING has banished winter once again!
For me and many, Mother’s Day is the day to get plants in the ground with the promise of SUMMER beauty! The great annual renewal has begun.
Check out the activity for this month! Jayne is also thinking about planting with a “waste not, want not” theme. It is so satisfying to grow and harvest food from our own gardens. You will find potatoes, pears, and summer veggies are ready to go!
Many of us have memories of potting seeds in egg cartons as kids. But what about potting seeds in stale ice cream cones? When the seeds sprout, just pop the whole thing into the ground to grow. I get a kick out of Jayne’s crafty “hacks.”
The May activity has a range of clever ideas for inside and outside plantings. And for inspiration, read A MORNING STROLL IN NOANIE’S GARDEN where Jo Ann envisioned the most beautiful gardens of colorful blooms. Her stunning illustrations will
make your heart smile.
BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED - and plant everywhere!!
Welcome SPRING!
